SINGAPORE – The Singapore System One Grand Prix is about to begin just a little greater than an hour late as a result of a delay compelled by a tropical downpour on Sunday.
The race, initially set to begin at 2000 native time (1200GMT), will now start at 2105 native time (1305GMT) with the vehicles scheduled to set off on their formation lap.
“The Pit Lane Open and complete Begin Process has been delayed because of the climate situations,” an FIA spokesperson stated in an announcement.
“Procedures are already underway trackside to clear standing water,” it added.
