The Widespread Entrance Of India has condemned the searches in a press release.

New Delhi:

The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Thursday morning raided the premises linked to Widespread Entrance Of India (PFI) in a number of states, authorities sources stated.

In an enormous crackdown on PFI, the anti-terror company carried out raids in ten states, together with Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Over 100 prime PFI leaders and functionaries have been arrested within the nationwide raids. The raids have been carried out by NIA, Enforcement Directorate (ED) and state police in a coordinated transfer.

The utmost variety of arrests have been made in Kerala (22) adopted by Maharashtra and Karnataka (20 every), Andhra Pradesh (5), Assam (9), Delhi (3), Madhya Pradesh (4), Puducherry (3), Tamil Nadu (10), Uttar Pradesh (8) and Rajasthan (2).

In what’s believed to be the “largest ever” crackdown until date, raids and searches are being carried out in opposition to these allegedly concerned in terror funding, organising coaching camps and radicalising others to hitch extremist teams.

PFI members staged protests in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in opposition to the arrests.

“The raids are happening on the properties of nationwide, state and native leaders of PFI. The state committee workplace can be being raided. We strongly protest the fascist regime’s strikes to make use of businesses to silence dissenting voices,” the PFI stated in a press release.

On Tuesday, the anti-terror company charged 4 PFI functionaries beneath the Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act (UAPA) after finishing up searches at 38 places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
