Rahul Gandhi Writes To PM Narendra Modi With Message From Kashmiri Pandits

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi looking for safety for Kashmiri Pandits who’re working in Kashmir valley amid current focused killings by terrorists.

Mr Gandhi mentioned he met a Kashmiri Pandit delegation throughout the current Bharat Jodo Yatra when it entered Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress chief alleged the delegation complained the authorities in Jammu area have been forcing Kashmiri Pandit staff, who had fled Kashmir valley after terror assaults, to return to the valley and resume work.

“They (Kashmiri Pandit delegation) instructed me that authorities officers have been forcing them to go to Kashmir valley to work. Sending them again to Kashmir valley when the security and safety scenario are clearly not good is a merciless factor to do,” Mr Gandhi mentioned in Hindi within the letter to PM Modi.

“Until the scenario improves, the federal government can use the providers of those Kashmiri Pandit staff in different administrative and public amenities,” the Congress MP mentioned.

The Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, or unite India march, resulted in Jammu and Kashmir final week, a number of months after it began from India’s southernmost tip Kanyakumari.

Greater than 5,000 Kashmiri Pandits have been working in Kashmir valley since their choice beneath the Prime Minister’s Particular employment bundle launched in 2010.
