Since Museum Labour’s launch final 12 months, they’ve been discussing main labour points within the sector by way of dialogue with museum colleagues throughout the nation. One thread all through these conversations was museum employees’ experiences with the Younger Canada Works program (YCW). Museum Labour has launched into analysis into the YCW and has consulted with different rising museum skilled teams on this matter.
To get a deeper understanding of views, limitations, and participation in YCW, they’re launching a survey on this system. They’d recognize anybody who has participated in this system taking the time to share your ideas and experiences, no matter whether or not you’ve held a YCW place.
The progress of the analysis shall be introduced on the Nationwide Belief Convention in October 2022 and a full report shall be shared with the broader museum neighborhood later this 12 months.
