The Catholic Tradition Podcast Community sponsored a poetry studying
session on the fourth biennial Catholic Creativeness Convention,
hosted by the College of Dallas. Thomas Mirus moderated this
session on Sept. 30, 2022, introducing poets Paul Mariani,
Frederick Turner, and James Matthew Wilson.

Paul Mariani, College Professor Emeritus at Boston Faculty,
is the creator of twenty-two books, together with biographies of William
Carlos Williams, John Berryman, Robert Lowell, Hart Crane, Gerard
Manley Hopkins, and Wallace Stevens. He has printed 9 volumes
of poetry, most just lately All that Will probably be New, from Slant. He has
additionally written two memoirs, Thirty Days and The Thriller of It All:
The Vocation of Poetry within the Twilight of Modernism. His awards

Twenty-First Century Economics, Pure Faith, and most just lately
Latter Days, with Colosseum Books. He has co-published a number of
volumes of Hungarian and German poetry in translation, together with
Goethe’s Faust, Half One. He has been nominated internationally
over 40 occasions for the Nobel Prize for Literature and translated
into over a dozen languages.

James Matthew Wilson is Cullen Basis Chair of English
Literature and Founding Director of the MFA program in Artistic

Music and Divine Worship, as Editor of Colosseum Books, and Poetry
Editor of Trendy Age journal. He’s the creator of twelve books,
