SYDNEY — King Charles was formally proclaimed head of state of each Australia and New Zealand at ceremonies on Sunday within the nations’ capitals.
In New Zealand, the proclamation of Charles as monarch, taking up from Queen Elizabeth who died on Thursday aged 96, came about within the parliament in Wellington.
